Back in late September 2005 while writing many lyrics and melodies, I sat down at my computer one day and began to sing as usual, into my microphone whatever came to mind.
This is usually how I write music, and normally it’s this way that things come to me quickly; it is this way that a song usually ends up becoming a favorite of mine. Within moments, Many Stars Apart had a melody and lyrics.
Many Stars Apart is a fairytale-like, metaphorical story about two lovers, a mermaid and a man who wish to be together but because they live in different worlds they never physically can fulfill their wishes, and their hearts are broken.
As you all know my page is themed to a Mermaid theme, and it’s based on this song. It is one of my favorites that I’ve written, as I hope it will be yours as well.
While working on projects with Seven Thousand Miles, I presented my song to the band and they liked the idea, lyrics and melody, and began to create arrangements.
Aldo Stanzani (Seven Thousand Miles) created the acoustic and electric guitar originally, along with keyboard synths, while Red Sprecacenere (Seven Thousand Miles) followed through and completed the song by adding Bass, doing the Drum programming, some Keyboard and finally the mixing and mastering. The song was later officially recorded at Red’s studio in Pescara, Italy, back in January 2006, where I was fortunate enough to meet all of my friends together.
Without their help the song would have never come to life, so I have much gratitude for their help and all the hard work they put into it. They did a wonderful job, so please let them know too.
Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
I’m very proud of this piece and I hope it brings you much enjoyment as it does to me. Thank you all for listening.
