Starting The Voice journey with her rendition of Dee Messina’s Bye Bye, Karen Waldrup performed Lainey Wilson’s Heart Like a Truck, earning a spot in the top 12.
Her coaches, Dan and Shay, selected Karen after her playoff performance, saying, “We moved Karen forward because she delivered an incredible performance. She is so consistent, she is someone we can depend on.”

Karen Waldrup was born on September 5, 1986, to her parents, Scott and Madelyn Bowler Waldrup. She has three sisters, and Karen is the family’s third daughter.
The country singer Karen Waldrup grew up singing and learned to play guitar at 16. To pursue her musical career, she moved to Nashville in 2008. However, she stepped into the musical industry with a debut EP, With Love, Karen, in 2009.
Later, in 2010, she released other EPs, Karen Waldrup, The Beginning in 2012, and Getaway in 2015. She also participated in the singing competition Platinum Hits in 2011 but exited after three weeks, making her 10th on the show.
